Teenager found dead in street after horror crash
A 19-year-old boy has been found dead in a Yorkshire road after being hit by a vehicle. The teenager, who is believed to have been walking from Pateley Bridge, Nidderdale, towards Glasshouses in the early hours of Saturday (July 20) morning, was found dead on the B6265 at Ripley Bank. The road was closed while emergency servies attended the scene but it has since been re-opened. A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "We’re very sad to share that a 19-year-old local man has died following a collision on the B6265 at Ripley Bank, between Glasshouses and Pateley Bridge, in the early hours of this morning (20 July). "The incident happened sometime between 1.44am and 3.10am. "The man, who we believe was walking from Pateley Bridge towards Glasshouses, was sadly found deceased at the scene. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time. "We are now appealing for anyone who was driving in the area at the time to come forward and support our investigation. "If you have any dash-cam footage from the area or time frame, or if you live or work nearby and have CCTV or doorbell camera footage showing any vehicles passing through between 1.44am and 3.10am, please get in touch.

"The road was closed to allow emergency services to respond at the scene, but it has now reopened."
