Inquest opened after man found dead in care home
Robert Woods was pronounced dead at Cherry Blossom Care Home, in Peterborough, on March 31.
Area coroner for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Simon Milburn opened the inquest on Thursday (July 17) at Peterborough Town Hall.
At a brief hearing, the coroner confirmed a post-mortem examination had been carried out.
He recorded a provisional cause of death of bilateral pulmonary thromboembolism, caused by deep vein thrombosis and a right hip fracture.
Mr Milburn adjourned the inquest for a pre inquest review hearing set to take place on December 17.
