Teen injured in Galway crash dies in hospital
A teenage girl seriously injured in a two-car crash in Co Galway over the weekend has died in hospital, gardaí have confirmed. Gardaí have reiterated their appeal for witnesses to the collision, which happened on the Ballygaddy Road in Tuam at approximately 6.05pm last Sunday, July 13.The driver of one of the cars, a female in her late teens, was conveyed to University Hospital Galway following the incident. On Wednesday evening, gardaí confirmed she had passed away.The driver and passenger of the second car involved, a man in his 20s and a woman in her 30s, sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the collision.Investigating gardaí are urging anyone with information on the incident to come forward.Anyone who was in the Ballygaddy Road area between 5.50pm and 6.15pm and who may have witnessed the incident has been asked to contact investigating gardaí.Any road users who were travelling in the area at the time and may have camera footage have been requested to make this footage available.Gardaí say they can be contacted at Tuam Garda Station on 093 70840, on the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or via any Garda station.
