disturbing | Police have released dramatic footage of the shooting as well as the arrests Shocking moment 'innocent' man is executed in drive-by shooting in front of horrified parents and children in revenge attackThe dramatic footage above shows the moment a man was shot dead in a drive-by shooting in broad daylight, leaving parents and children scared for their lives.Connor Brookes (20) was executed on July 8, 2023 last year in front of parents and their young children outside their school.He was murdered with a shotgun in Blakenall Heath, Walsall, West Midlands while he sat in a van with his friend Bradley Sladyszy.Bradley was hit in the shoulder when the attacker fired from a stolen black Ford Focus, while the 20-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.Three men have since been caught and convicted.Byron Sellick (20), Jake Sanbrook (23) and Julian Falconer (20) are now facing life in jail after being convicted of murder yesterday at Wolverhampton Crown Court.They were also found guilty of attempted murder and possession of a firearm.Samuel Danks-Petty, 20, was found guilty of intent to pervert the course of justice after helping to organise and cover up the cold-blooded murder.Jurors were told the attack was carried out in retaliation for the death of Bailey Atkinson who was stabbed to death in Walsall town centre in 2023.One of the men guilty of his murder was Connor's brother Patrick but friends maintain he had no involvement with gangs or crimes and that he was an innocent victim in the it-for-tat attacks.Disturbing CCTV shows the attackers pulling in while Connor and his friend were parked in a van.The stolen black car pulled up alongside them, and, seconds later, a gunman in the back of the car fired a shotgun once at them.The car then takes off at nearly 80kmph and was driven to a nearby lane where the double-barrelled sawn-off shotgun was dumped in a bin bag within minutes of the shooting and the car was found abandoned days later.Detectives believe that was also an attempted revenge attack as part of the escalating feud following Mr Atkinson's murder.Officers found gunshot residue inside the dumped car and DNA was found belonging to Sanbrook and Danks-Petty.All four defendants were remanded in custody and will be sentenced on May 30.
