US President Donald Trump (ANI photo) US President Donald Trump on Monday renewed his call for a ceasefire in the Russia-Ukraine war, urging Russian President Vladimir Putin to halt the violence. “We are talking to Russia. We would like them to stop,” Trump told reporters. “I don’t like them bombing on and on, and every week thousands of young people being killed.”His remarks followed a renewed plea from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who on Sunday called for a swift and clear response from the United States after Russia declined to agree to a "full, unconditional ceasefire." Zelenskyy said, "We are waiting for the United States to respond; so far, there has been no reply."French President Macron also reflected on Russia-Ukraine war, urging for ceasefire, taking on X, he said: "While Ukraine accepted President Trump's proposal for a complete and unconditional ceasefire for 30 days nearly a month ago, while we are working with all our partners on ways to secure peace, Russia continues the war with renewed intensity, showing no regard for civilians.""These Russian strikes must end. There must be a ceasefire as soon as possible. And strong actions if Russia continues to seek to buy time and refuse peace."He also warned of an increase in Russian air attacks, saying it shows that "pressure on Russia is still insufficient."This came after a wave of missile and drone strikes by Russia killed two and injured seven in Kyiv. Earlier that day, Ukraine’s first deputy prime minister Yulia Svyrydenko reported a “massive nationwide attack” involving ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as drones.
