‘Putin Treated You Well?’: Trump’s AWKWARD Jab At Freed US Prisoner Who Spent 4 Years In Russia Jail

Donald Trump had an awkward on-camera exchange with freed American prisoner Steven Hubbard, who spent roughly four-and-a-half years detained in Russia before returning to the United States.

Standing beside Hubbard, Trump noted that he had been through a lot — then asked whether he had been treated “reasonably well” while in Russian custody.

Hubbard replied that some guards had treated him sympathetically, prompting Trump to respond: “I think that’s great.”
