ON CAM: Putin Ally Ambushes U.S. Envoy Own American Turf; Podium Stormed, Chaos & Shouting Match

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez and the US Ambassador to the United Nations, Mike Waltz, were involved on Tuesday in a tense confrontation during the UN General Assembly, after the US diplomat displayed a photograph of the late Cuban leader Fidel Castro wearing two Rolex watches. Waltz used the image to question the privileges of Cuba's ruling elite, while defending Washington's position during the annual debate on the economic embargo on the island. According to the ambassador, the watches would be worth around 40,000 dollars today, an amount he compared to 55 years of an average Cuban's salary. Rodriguez rejected the American's statements and maintained that his words offended the dignity of Cuba and its representatives. He also questioned Waltz's performance at the United Nations and recommended he improve his diplomatic conduct.
