IRAN LAUGHS As U.S. Ally BOMBARDS U.S. Ally In Stunning Escalation; Trump Missing In Action

Jordanian fighter jets have struck targets inside southern Syria, triggering a diplomatic dispute with Damascus and the closure of the main passenger and commercial crossing between the two countries. Amman says its operation targeted hideouts belonging to “terrorist organizations” linked to suspects in the deadly church shooting in Karak, Jordan, which killed nine people. Jordan says militants and vehicles were targeted. Syria disputes that account of how the operation was conducted. Syrian authorities say there was no prior coordination or notification and report civilian casualties from strikes across Daraa and Sweida. Civil Defence said one strike killed five members of the same family, including three children. Damascus has now suspended traffic through the Nassib-Jaber crossing in both directions. The closure cuts the main overland passenger and commercial route between Syria and Jordan as the two governments dispute both the coordination and consequences of the strikes.
