‘Appalling DOJ Abuse’: James Comey Unleashes On Trump As Ex-FBI Chief Faces 3rd Federal Case

The Trump administration has launched another attempt to prosecute former FBI Director James Comey over an alleged leak of classified information dating back to 2016, triggering a legal battle over whether the case was filed after the statute of limitations expired.

The Justice Department says it used a criminal information to preserve the case, while Comey’s lawyers argue prosecutors failed to secure a valid indictment within the 10-year deadline. Comey has denied wrongdoing and described the latest move as an abuse of the Justice Department.
