Soldiers walk 156 km to honour fallen comrades

Five soldiers arrived at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on Sunday morning after completing a gruelling 156-kilometre walk to support military families impacted by the fatal training fire at CFB Wainwright. CTV's Kimberley Johnson speaks with Pte. Nathan Thomas and Pte. Logan Toupin, who trekked continuously for 35 hours on one hour of sleep from CFB Petawawa to raise $10,000 for victims and survivors. The memorial march honoured 23-year-old Pte. Aidan Goulding, who died alongside three other soldiers when an explosion and fire swept through the Alberta base on Oct. 17. Military officials confirmed that 27 injured members remain hospitalized, including 13 in critical condition, while a comprehensive armed forces investigation into the incident continues.
