High school science educator Hédié Rouhana has received the prestigious Prime Minister's Award for Teaching Excellence in STEM for inspiring hundreds of students to pursue careers in science and technology. CTV's Kimberley Fowler profiles the former Collège catholique Samuel-Genest physics teacher, who spent nearly a decade building a school STEM club from five students into a thriving team of over 60. Former student Anjali Daswan and biology teacher Agathe Godbout co-nominated Rouhana, saying her dedication to empowering young women and students of colour provided invaluable mentorship that transformed the school's culture. Now serving as a vice-principal at another school, Rouhana celebrated the national recognition as a full-circle milestone after graduating from the very high school where she taught.
