BIBI TAKES BIG BLOW! IDF Loses 2 Soldiers In Horrific Shooting; Israel Punished For 'Illegal' War
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has threatened a sweeping operation in Hebron after a shooting killed two Israeli soldiers and wounded three others from the same battalion. The IDF identified those killed as 23-year-old Ron Yonatan Roytman and 20-year-old Yuval Shai Svilem. Israeli forces launched operations around Hebron following the attack. Netanyahu said Israel would “destroy” and “change completely” the neighbourhood from which he said the attackers emerged. He announced plans to evacuate residents, conduct house-to-house searches, confiscate weapons and destroy what Israel identifies as militant infrastructure. He also said Hebron and Halhul were being cordoned off and that the approach could potentially be expanded elsewhere. Netanyahu described the planned operation as an extension of an “aggressive model” previously used by Israel in refugee camps. The shooting and Israel’s response now raise the prospect of a significantly wider military operation in the occupied West Bank.
