A teenage boy has pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual assault in a Pembroke courtroom after attacking an eight-year-old girl in the rural community of Quadeville, Ont. As CTV's Katelyn Wilson reports, the agreed statement of facts states that the accused lured the victim into a wooded area with candy in June 2025 before stabbing her in the neck and abdomen while threatening her life. Crown prosecutors revealed the young victim spent 49 days in hospital recovering from life-threatening wounds and was unable to speak for several weeks due to the severity of her injuries. Family and Children's Services of Renfrew County confirmed it had investigated the youth over three prior incidents dating back to 2018, with the teen now scheduled for assessment before sentencing next month.
