EMERGENCY! Saudi’s Aramco Vacated After Houthis Unleash Fury; Missiles & Bombs Destroy MBS’ Oil HQ
Saudi Aramco has reportedly ordered the remaining employees at its headquarters in Dhahran to leave and work remotely until further notice, following weeks of Houthi attacks on Saudi aviation and energy infrastructure. Sources briefed on the decision told AFP that no specific reason was given for the latest order. It comes one week after the Houthis said they targeted Aramco’s headquarters. Saudi officials confirmed a building housing the company’s operations centre was struck, while one employee later told AFP that a tower had been hit and its “top three floors were gone.” There is no indication that Saudi oil production itself has stopped. The evacuation comes amid wider attacks across the kingdom. Two people were killed and eight injured in a strike at Dammam’s King Fahd International Airport, while the Houthis have also claimed operations targeting Riyadh, Yanbu and Abha. The developments are putting growing pressure on infrastructure central to Saudi Arabia’s aviation and energy sectors.
