Three separate crashes involving pedestrians and a cyclist in Ottawa left two people critically injured and a teenage pedestrian seriously hurt. CTV's Austin Lee reports that a 23-year-old woman was found with life-threatening injuries after being struck on Riverside Drive around 4:30 a.m., while an elderly cyclist was critically injured at Fairbanks Avenue and Crestview Road. A teenage pedestrian was also struck at Earl Armstrong Road and Canyon Walk Drive in Riverside South, and Ottawa Paramedics assessed the driver involved in the first crash before releasing him at the scene. Ottawa police are asking witnesses to come forward as investigators examine the crashes, following two pedestrian deaths in the city the previous week.
