Government approves Jackdaw gas field in the North Sea

The UK government has approved drilling at the Jackdaw gas field in the North Sea, off the coast of Aberdeen.

The decision brings almost two years of uncertainty over the project to an end as the debate about the UK's energy security and climate commitments continues.
