In a major push to diversify trade, especially against a backdrop of global economic fragmentation, Vietnam and the European free trade association officially signed a comprehensive free-trade agreement in Hanoi. The EFTA comprises Norway, Switzerland, Iceland, and Liechtenstein. The pact bridges Southeast Asia’s manufacturing with some of Europe's most advanced economies.
