Trump FUMES, Zelensky Strikes Russian Port Linked To Diesel Deliveries To US? Big Escalation

Ukraine has targeted energy and logistics infrastructure around St Petersburg days after Donald Trump announced an agreement with Vladimir Putin aimed at bringing additional Russian diesel onto international markets. Russia’s Defence Ministry says 1,015 Ukrainian drones were intercepted nationwide during the overnight assault. Some drones reached targets around St Petersburg and the surrounding Leningrad region, where a fire broke out at the St Petersburg Oil Terminal, a major Baltic hub for storing and exporting petroleum products. An Ozon logistics facility was also hit, while Russian authorities reported one person killed and several injured during the wider attack. The oil terminal was damaged but available reporting does not indicate it was destroyed. The timing puts Ukraine’s campaign against Russian energy infrastructure at odds with Trump’s effort to increase Russian diesel supplies and ease fuel-market pressure. Washington has already pressed Kyiv to stop refinery attacks, but Ukraine continues targeting infrastructure connected to Moscow’s energy production and exports.
