Houthi Fires Iran Missiles At Saudi Helicopter? Shocking Video Emerges Of Deadly Hunt | Watch
Yemen’s Houthis have released footage they say shows a Saudi National Guard AH-6i light attack helicopter being struck in mid-air over Najran, challenging Saudi Arabia’s account that the aircraft crashed because of a technical malfunction. Riyadh has acknowledged losing the helicopter and both crew members aboard. The newly released Houthi video appears to show an airborne object approaching the AH-6i before an impact, but the footage does not independently establish the cause of the crash. The Houthis claim they brought down the aircraft using a loitering munition. The weapon shown appears to resemble the 358-family system, which the Houthis operate under the name Saqr. Unlike conventional surface-to-air missiles, this type of loitering weapon can remain airborne while searching for a target. If independently confirmed as the cause, the incident would highlight a different threat to Saudi aviation, particularly slower helicopters operating near the Yemen border.
