Houthis BOMBARD Saudi With Ballistic Missiles; Riyadh Pounded, Air Defences Scramble To Down Drones

Pro-Iran Houthi militants have intensified attacks on Saudi Arabia, launching two ballistic missiles and four drones in the early hours of October 18, amid escalating hostilities with the Saudi-led coalition. The launches triggered temporary danger alerts in Riyadh, Abha and Khamis Mushait, raising concerns over the threat to major Saudi cities. The coalition said its forces intercepted and destroyed the missiles and drones, including two ballistic missiles aimed at Khamis Mushait. The latest barrage came a day after the coalition carried out airstrikes against Houthi targets in Yemen, including missile launchers in Saada. Meanwhile, a Houthi-affiliated news agency accused Saudi warplanes of striking civilian residences in Dhamar and Taiz provinces, reportedly killing 12 people.
