‘HOUTHI HELLFIRE! Brutal Attack Leaves Saudi Troops Dead, Massive Casualty Bombshell | Watch
Yemen’s Houthis say they targeted a Saudi military operations headquarters inside Aden’s Maashiq Presidential Palace complex in an attack that Yemeni officials say killed five people and wounded 16.
Yemen’s Information Minister said five missiles were fired at the heavily protected compound, where Prime Minister Shaya al-Zandani and cabinet members were present. They survived. The government later said two members of the prime minister’s security detail were among those killed, while the Health Minister said casualties included palace guards and civilian employees. Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree said Yemen’s political leadership was not the intended target, claiming the missiles were aimed at a Saudi military command centre. Houthi-run Saba also alleged Saudi officers and weapons depots were inside the compound. Names circulating online purport to identify six Saudi soldiers killed in the attack, but those identities and the claim that six Saudi personnel died have not been independently confirmed.
