A tanker has sustained damage after a rocket-propelled grenade was reportedly fired at the vessel from a small boat off Saudi Arabia's eastern coast. The incident occurred approximately 78 nautical miles northeast of Al Jubayl on Friday, according to the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO). The damage was reported on the vessel's aft port quarter, the rear section on its left-hand side. All crew members are reportedly safe, with no casualties reported so far. However, the full extent of the damage and any potential environmental impact, including a possible oil or fuel spill, remain unknown. Authorities have yet to establish the attackers' identity or motive, raising fresh concerns over commercial shipping security in a strategically important region for global energy supplies.
