'Not Ukraine, Your War On Iran Surged Prices': Meloni Vs Trump Clash Over Russian Diesel Deal

U.S. President Donald Trump has brushed aside concerns raised by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni over a controversial Russian diesel agreement, calling it “the world’s deal.” Meloni had rwarned that the arrangement could expose Italy and its allies to serious economic and geopolitical risks, particularly amid ongoing tensions with Moscow. But Trump appeared unmoved, downplaying the criticism and defending the deal as a potentially important step for energy security and global markets. His remarks have sparked fresh questions over growing differences between Washington and Rome, with critics accusing the U.S. president of ignoring the risks of relying on Russian energy.
