Singaporeans should be prepared for the haze to persist for several weeks, with air quality potentially reaching hazardous levels before conditions improve, said Minister for Sustainability and the Environment Grace Fu at a press conference on Friday (Oct 16).
She advised Singaporeans to check the 24-hour PSI forecast when planning outdoor activities and the latest 1-hour PM2.5 readings before heading out.
Ms Fu also provided updates on mask distribution and said the National Environment Agency would issue preventive measure notices to seven companies in Indonesia over fires suspected of contributing to the haze. #haze#sgnews#singapore
