The Israeli military is carrying out a major operation in the occupied West Bank.
Soldiers are raiding several Palestinian non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in Ramallah.
They have stormed the offices of the Union of Palestinian Women’s Committee and the Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association.
Files, documents and equipment have been confiscated.
Israel classified these groups as “terrorist organisations” five years ago but the UN and EU dispute its evidence.

Muhammad Dahleh, Jerusalem-based human rights lawyer who's been practicing in the Israeli and Palestinian legal systems since 1993, tells Al Jazeera that Israeli military orders are used to outlaw Palestinian NGOs, restrict legal challenges and enable raids on their offices.
