The rise in demand for drugs in Europe and the war in the Middle East is forcing Kurdish forces to step up efforts to prevent the region being used as a corridor for narcotics from the east to the west.

Sky’s Dominic Waghorn went on night patrol in the perilous mountain terrain to the east of Kurdistan to understand how drugs smugglers operate.
