UAE ON ALERT! Tanker BOMBED, Catches Fire Near Dubai As Iran Tightens Grip On Hormuz | Watch

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps says it struck the LPG carrier NV Sunshine after the vessel allegedly attempted to use an unauthorised route south of the Strait of Hormuz.

The IRGC claimed the attack triggered a massive fire in the ship's engine room and propulsion system, warning that Iranian forces would continue enforcing Tehran's restrictions on the vital shipping passage.

Separately, Britain's UKMTO reported a vessel struck by an unknown projectile off the UAE coast. Maritime security firm Vanguard identified that ship as the Panama-flagged crude tanker GEM NO.2.

It remains unclear whether the reports concern the same incident.

The latest developments come amid repeated attacks on commercial shipping and escalating tensions over control of the Strait of Hormuz, a key route for global oil and gas supplies.
