Cristiano Ronaldo Says Jorge Jesus Broke His Word, Apologises To His Portugal Teammates | Original

Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed details of his dispute with Portugal coach Jorge Jesus, claiming that two agreements were not honoured during the team’s recent matches.

Ronaldo said he had agreed to miss the Norway and Denmark games to focus on his fitness, but was later told he would play around 30 minutes against Norway. After warming up for much of the second half without being brought on, Ronaldo said the situation led to a second disagreement over how the matter would be explained publicly.

The Portugal captain subsequently left the training camp, apologised to fans and teammates, and acknowledged that he could face disciplinary action. Jorge Jesus has denied that any agreement was made, while Ronaldo says he remains available for Portugal and wants to continue helping the national team compete and win.
