Harmanpreet Kaur Steps Down as India Captain | WION News

Harmanpreet Kaur has stepped down as India’s all-format women’s captain after leading the team across formats for several years. She began captaining India in 2012 and went on to lead the side in 211 international matches, winning major titles including the Asia Cup and Asian Games gold. Her biggest achievement came with India’s first ODI World Cup title on home soil. With Harmanpreet’s captaincy now over, Smriti Mandhana is among the leading possibilities to take over, although the BCCI has yet to announce her successor.
