‘CANADA NEEDS US MORE!’: Trump Trade Chief Mocks Mark Carney’s EU Pivot Amid Tariff War | WATCH

U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer has delivered a blunt message to Canada as Prime Minister Mark Carney looks to deepen trade ties with Europe and other partners amid the ongoing tariff war with Washington.

Asked about Canada’s efforts to pursue new agreements with the European Union and India, Greer dismissed the idea that Ottawa could easily replace the U.S. market. He argued that Canada typically runs a $45–60 billion trade surplus with the United States and said that without American demand, Canada “would be in deficit.”
