The US Air Force has pulled out all its bombers from the RAF Fairford military base in the United Kingdom.
The move comes a week after several men were initially arrested there on suspicion of preparing terrorist acts. All were released on bail.
The base which is located northwest of London hosted B-52 and B-1 bombers used in the Iran war.
The aircraft have been moved back to their home bases in the United States.
David des Roches is a professor at the Thayer Marshall Institute and a Former NATO Operations Director in the Office of the Secretary of Defence. He says the bombers were out in the open - leaving them vulnerable to attacks.
