‘100% CONFIDENT I WAS R*PED’: Cornell Victim’s First Words Revealed; Kathy Hochul Rips Failed Probe

New York Governor Kathy Hochul has sharply escalated the Cornell University rape investigation after newly surfaced records showed that the woman at the center of the case told campus police she was “100% confident” she had been raped. That statement was not included in the account later sent to prosecutors, according to reporting on the case.

Hochul said the young woman had sat with police for hours and clearly described what she says happened to her, yet critical details never reached the Tompkins County District Attorney’s Office. “At every turn, she was failed by people and institutions with an obligation to protect her,” Hochul said while questioning how the case was originally handled.
