Polls have just opened in Brazil, for one of the most tightly contested elections in the country's history.
The incumbent president, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, is running for a fourth non-consecutive term.
His main rival is far-right senator, Flavio Bolsonaro, son of the former president, Jair Bolsonaro.
159 million voters are eligible to choose not only a president, but state governors as well as federal and state representatives.
