Delhi Police have registered three FIRs following protests at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. The cases were filed after student groups, political parties and civil society activists attempted to gather despite prohibitory orders. The protests were linked to concerns over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Two FIRs were registered at Parliament Street Police Station and one at Connaught Place Police Station.
