‘U.S. Not A Dumping Ground’: Trump’s Trade Chief ‘CRIES’ Over Canada-EU Trade Deal; ‘Can’t Survive’

U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer laid out the Trump administration’s trade priorities at the G20, addressing forced labor, excess production, tariffs, China, India, Canada and the European Union. Greer said the U.S. would continue taking action against what Washington considers unfair trading practices, while arguing that excess capacity is undermining global markets. He also defended a managed trade approach with China and discussed ongoing negotiations with India. On Canada and the EU, Greer highlighted their trade surpluses with the United States and said Washington is focused on strengthening domestic supply chains. He also called for reforms to the global trading system and WTO.
