Ottawa police are investigating two downtown stabbings that left a 55-year-old woman and another man with life-threatening injuries. CTV's Katelyn Wilson reports that Inspector Cory Robertson says investigators are reviewing evidence to determine whether the consecutive attacks near Rideau Street and the Ottawa Mission were random. Officers arrested 42-year-old Joachim Lessard near the scene and charged him with two counts of attempted murder along with aggravated assault. The Ottawa Mission confirms both the accused and the male victim previously used its services, while local residents express growing concerns over community safety during the early morning hours.
