CTV's Austin Lee reports on a new swimming lesson proposal from Ottawa mayoral candidate Mark Sutcliffe. Sutcliffe says that, if re-elected, he would prevent people who do not live in Ottawa from registering their children for city swimming lessons for the first 48 hours after registration opens. He says the plan would open up 5,000 spots for Ottawa children over the next 10 years, while the city says non-residents account for 1.5 per cent of swimming lesson registrations so far this year. Sutcliffe also proposes working with private pools and expanding outdoor lesson opportunities for adults and teens.
