CTV's Camille Wilson reports on how Ottawa students are preparing to mark the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. At St. Anne Elementary School in Kanata, students are creating an Orange Heart Garden to honour children who did not return home from residential schools and their families and survivors. Students at Notre Dame High School are also learning about the residential school system and exploring reconciliation through the Legacy of Hope installation. Teachers say the day is an opportunity to learn, reflect and honour those affected by residential schools.
