HORMUZ SHIP BOMBED! IRGC Acts On Big Warning To Trump, 'Clearance Op' May Have Begun? Watch
Another vessel has been hit in the Strait of Hormuz, adding to a growing series of maritime incidents threatening commercial shipping through the strategic waterway. The UK Maritime Trade Operations agency said the vessel was struck by an unknown projectile on Monday evening while transiting the strait. The impact caused a fire on board, but the blaze was later extinguished. The crew was reported safe and the vessel remained underway. No environmental impact has been reported, while authorities continue to assess the damage and investigate the cause of the incident. UKMTO has warned other vessels operating in the area to exercise caution and report any suspicious activity. The latest incident comes after several commercial vessels were struck by unidentified projectiles in recent weeks, increasing uncertainty for shipping companies operating through one of the world's most important energy chokepoints. There is currently no official attribution for who fired the projectile.
