Long journey home: Tlowitsis First Nation people return to their village

Decades after they were forced to leave their land in the 1960's, an Island First Nation once again has a village to call home for its people. The weekend of September 26, 2026 marked an important chapter for the Tlowitsis People with the opening of 10 new homes offering its people a chance to stay together and build connections. As CTV's Andy Garland reports, the Tlowitsis Nation calls it one of the most ambitious plans to keep a First Nation together in Modern BC history.
