Eight US Marines were injured after an Iranian anti-ship cruise missile struck a vessel they were operating on in the Strait of Hormuz on September 14, according to an NBC News report citing three US officials. The Marines included seven enlisted personnel and one officer serving with a battalion landing team. They suffered smoke inhalation and possible traumatic brain injuries, including headaches, but none sustained serious injuries and all returned to duty soon after the attack.
