ON CAM: Shirtless & In Cuffs, Dramatic Arrests Near U.S. Bomber Base; RAF Fairford On High Alert

Five men have been detained near RAF Fairford in the UK after police received a report about three suspicious vehicles travelling towards the airbase. The men were initially arrested on suspicion of offences under the Explosives Act and were later held on suspicion of preparing a terrorist act under Section 5 of the Terrorism Act. Army bomb-disposal specialists were deployed to examine the vehicles, while a 400-metre cordon was established. Around 85 homes in nearby Whelford were evacuated as a precaution. A newly released image shows the five men shirtless and handcuffed while surrounded by armed police. Online reports have suggested officers may have been checking for possible explosive or suicide vests, but authorities have not confirmed that any such devices were found. The U.S. military uses RAF Fairford and has been involved in operations during the current Iran conflict. However, police have not established any link between the detained men and Iran, and no motive has been publicly confirmed.
