‘SHAKE ISRAEL’S CORE’: Hamas’ Sinwar WARNED Netanyahu Before Oct 7 Attack, Shock Reveal By Ex-Aide

Former Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant says Israel received a message from Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar through a Shin Bet channel in the weeks before the October 7, 2023 attack. According to Gallant, the message said Sinwar would “shake the prisons.” Israeli security officials interpreted the warning differently at the time and did not connect it to plans for a large-scale assault, according to Gallant. His comments add another element to the growing debate over what Israeli intelligence and political leaders knew before the Hamas attack. Recent reporting has also detailed warnings attributed to Egypt and the United Arab Emirates. Egypt’s intelligence chief Abbas Kamel reportedly travelled to Israel on September 26, 2023, with a warning that Hamas appeared to be preparing for a major attack. Separately, reports have alleged that UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed warned Netanyahu about a possible Hamas operation. Netanyahu’s office has denied receiving such a warning, while an Emirati official has disputed the reported account.
