‘READY TO INVADE’: Iran’s Massive Show Of Force Against US Allies, 40,000+ Flood Tehran Streets

Thousands of motorcyclists have taken to the streets of Tehran in a state-backed mobilisation organised under Iran’s “Janfada-ye Iran” — or “Sacrifice For Iran” — campaign. Organisers claimed that as many as 40,000 riders took part in the procession during Iran’s Sacred Defense Week, which commemorates the 1980–1988 Iran-Iraq War. Greater Tehran IRGC Deputy Commander Mahmoud Tavakoli described the event as a “message of power” and said the riders were demonstrating their strength to Iran’s adversaries. Participants also said the rally was intended to show support for Iran and its leadership and signal unity in the face of pressure from the United States. The motorcycle procession follows a much larger IRGC-organised mobilisation in Tehran on September 18, when Iranian organisers claimed 313,000 people participated. That figure has not been independently verified. The latest event gives Tehran another highly visible platform to project mobilisation, unity and readiness amid heightened tensions.
