LEAKED: China’s Satellite Intel HELPS Iran Hunt U.S. Warships As Trump ‘GLAZES’ Xi Jinping In DC

Iran’s ability to track American forces and shipping in the Middle East may have received a major boost from Chinese satellite imagery and geospatial data, according to recent U.S. intelligence assessments described by CNN. U.S. officials believe Chinese-provided imagery helped Iran improve target identification and tracking, including during a July strike on a U.S. base in Jordan that killed three American service members. The intelligence support is also believed to have helped Iran monitor U.S. escort operations and commercial shipping through the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz. The exact scale of China’s involvement remains unclear. U.S. officials reportedly disagree over how much assistance Beijing is providing, while China has rejected accusations that it is exploiting the conflict to assist Iran. The Trump administration has already taken action against three Chinese satellite companies, accusing them of providing imagery that enabled Iranian military strikes against U.S. forces. The developments highlight a different kind of battlefield advantage: using satellite intelligence to know where targets are before missiles and drones are launched.
