‘WILL NOT BOW DOWN’: Mamdani Takes Brutal Swipe At Trump Over ICE Shooting & NYC Crackdown

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani is escalating his confrontation with Donald Trump over the administration’s immigration crackdown, vowing that New York will continue pushing back against policies he says threaten immigrant communities.

The clash comes as an ICE shooting in Austin, Texas, fuels fresh scrutiny of federal enforcement tactics. An ICE officer shot and seriously wounded 28-year-old Venezuelan delivery driver Wilber Rafael Garces Perez during an encounter in Austin, triggering protests and demands for an independent investigation. Federal authorities are investigating the shooting, while the circumstances surrounding the use of force remain disputed.
