Finger-Sucking Surgeon on Trial for Enemy Lawyer’s Murder

Tomasz Kosowski, an Ivy League-educated plastic surgeon, is representing himself in his first-degree murder trial after prosecutors accused him of killing his former legal adversary, Steven Cozzi, amid an increasingly bitter civil dispute. Prosecutors allege Kosowski researched a lethal paralytic shortly before Cozzi disappeared, was captured on surveillance moving what they believe was Cozzi’s body, and later tried to destroy potential DNA evidence by sucking and scraping his fingers after his arrest.
