Russia Deployed Iran Weapons Against US Defences In Ukraine? Big Reveal On Putin’s Army Shock Tactic

Russia has transformed Iran’s Shahed-136 from a basic one-way attack drone into an expanding family of domestically produced, networked and increasingly fast strike weapons, according to a study by the Center for Strategic and International Studies. When Ukraine jams one navigation system, Moscow redesigns the antennas; when the original drone proves too slow, Russia reinforces the airframe or introduces jet-powered variants. Later Gerans have reportedly carried mobile modems, Raspberry Pi computers, Russian and Ukrainian SIM cards, heavier warheads and equipment allowing operators to receive battlefield data after launch. The Geran-4 can reportedly manoeuvre at speeds approaching 500 kilometres per hour, while the Geran-5 resembles a small cruise missile. CSIS examined one recovered drone whose satellite receiver had been installed only seven days before it was shot down, highlighting Russia’s unusually short factory-to-front cycle. Ukraine can still destroy the drones, but every inexpensive Geran or decoy forces Kyiv to reveal defensive positions, expend valuable interceptors and provide Russia with new combat data for the next modification.
