Heavy construction equipment lined the ring road outside CHEO and Roger Neilson Children's Hospice for the sixth annual Construction Community Cares Parade. CTV's Camille Wilson reports that the event provides a sense of normalcy and joy for pediatric patients and families receiving long-term care. Parents Ashley and Alex Letourneau made the nine-hour drive from Timmins to be together as their three-year-old daughter Millie receives treatment for leukemia. The National Capital Heavy Construction Association and the Ottawa Construction Association presented a cheque for nearly $27,000 to the CHEO Foundation in support of pediatric palliative care.
