Ottawa infrastructure forum focuses on housing shortage

CTV's Dylan Dyson reports on Ottawa's first Infrastructure Forum, where business and political leaders discussed housing, transit, mobility, placemaking and energy infrastructure. Ottawa is projected to grow by 400,000 to 500,000 people over the next 20 years, while the city has struggled to reach a provincial target of 15,000 new housing units per year. Speakers also discussed converting unused office buildings into affordable housing and expanding Ottawa's urban boundary. The forum also highlighted the rising cost of delaying infrastructure investment.
